Vacancy | Sports Scientist/Strength and Conditioning Coach


New Zealand Football is seeking applications for a Sports Scientist/Strength and Conditioning Coach for our National Women’s U-17 team. 

Working as part of the NZF Sports Science/Strength and Conditioning team, this role combines both sports science and strength and conditioning within the scope of the NZF Physical Performance framework, with key responsibilities including:

  • Planning and implementing training programs
  • Sports nutrition strategies
  • Physical testing
  • Video analysis
  • Attendance at camps and travel on tour

 

We’re looking for a BSc qualification in Sport and Exercise Science, as well as significant experience in elite athlete conditioning and coaching in sports science.  Football experience would be useful but is not essential.

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective management skills
  • The personal motivation to achieve excellence
