TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General

1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

2. New Zealand Football (NZF) may amend these Terms and Conditions at its discretion. Your continued use of NZF services constitutes acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.

Registration

3. I understand that by completing registration on the National Registration System I*:

a) Warrant that:

  1. All information provided is true, current and complete;
  2. I have fully disclosed any ongoing disciplinary and ethics, doping and/or match fixing proceedings or related suspension that I may be serving imposed by NZF, any NZF affiliated Federation, club or other officially recognised and duly constituted sporting organisation, whether at the international level or as a national federation in another jurisdiction, and acknowledge and accept that I have an ongoing obligation to disclose such matters to NZF, my Federation and club as soon as practicable while registered;
  3. When electing to register as an amateur, that I am an amateur as defined by NZF’s RSTP and do not receive any money or consideration for participating in Football (other than reimbursement of reasonable participation expenses)

b) Consent to the information provided being used and/or disclosed as permitted by law and for the purposes outlined in the NZF Privacy Policy and the Privacy Statement below including being utilised by NZF and NZF affiliated Federations and clubs to administer Football, attend to injury and insurance matters, provide Football activities and Football-related services, offers and information.

c) Agree to:

  1. Comply with, and abide by, all the Statutes, rules and regulations that govern Football including the; IFAB Laws of the Game, FIFA Statutes, regulations, codes and rules, NZF Statutes, regulations, codes, rules and policies (including but not limited to NZF’s Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, Disciplinary Code, Anti Match Fixing and Sports Betting Regulations, Regulation on the Status and Transfer of Player (RSTP), Anti-Doping Regulations and Safeguarding Policy found here; and the constitution, regulations, codes, rules, bylaws and policies of the relevant NZF affiliated Federation with jurisdiction and control over the competition or event being registered for;
  2. Pay all fees, subscriptions, levies, and fines imposed on me by NZF and/or the relevant NZF affiliated Federation and/or club in which I have registered for;

d) Acknowledge that NZF and/or the relevant NZF affiliated Federation in which I am registered reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse, suspend or cancel registration (provisionally, in part, or in full) at any time, including, but not limited to where:

  1. False, misleading or inaccurate information has been provided as part of the registration process by me, or any other person acting on my behalf;
  2. It is alleged that I have acted in a way that is contrary to any of IFAB, FIFA, NZF, or the relevant NZF affiliated Federation or club’s ’s applicable, constitution, regulations, codes, rules, bylaws and policies;
  3. It is alleged that I have outstanding debts to another Football entity,
  4. I am currently suspended (provisionally or otherwise) from participation in Football, futsal or any other officially recognised and duly constituted sporting organisation, whether at the international level or as a national federation in another jurisdiction for matters pertaining to disciplinary, or ethics, or doping or match fixing;
  5. I have voluntary submitted a police vet through NZF’s Police Vetting system which has subsequently returned a police vet containing convictions, notes or offending, which are deemed unacceptable by NZF in line with the NZF Safeguarding Policy;
  6.  I otherwise breach these Terms and Conditions.

Health & Safety

4. I agree* to comply with my duties in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (Act) including:

a) Taking reasonable care of my own health and safety;

b) Taking reasonable care that my acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of other persons;

c) Complying, as far as I am reasonably able, with any reasonable instruction that is given by the person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) to allow the PCBU to comply with the Act or regulations; and

d) Understanding that it is my responsibility to make known any relevant medical and/or dietary information to the affiliated member entities that hold my registration.

5. I acknowledge and agree* that there are inherent risks associated with participating in Football that may result in personal injury and possible exposure to an illness from communicable diseases and accept and agree to fully bear such risks.

Privacy Statement

6. By registering I*:

a) Authorise NZF’s collection, use and disclosure of my personal information for the purposes set out in the NZF Privacy Policy;

b) Acknowledge that my personal information is required in order for me to register on the National Registration System and process the registration of my membership;

c) Have rights to access and correct such personal information as provided for in the Privacy Act 2020 and as outlined in the NZF Privacy Policy;

d) Irrevocably consent to NZF, any NZF affiliated Federation or other body in affiliation with NZF or the relevant Federation taking, recording and using footage, film, video, images, photographs and audio which may feature me and my name, likeness and identity in any form or medium (including online or in print) in connection with:

  1. Training and education purposes;
  1. Statistical analysis and research activities
  1. Football related communications and promotion including the marketing to members by sponsors of the game of football or commercial partners ; and
  1. Competition management and general administrative purposes.

Correspondence

​​​​​​​7. In registering with NZF, and/or an NZF affiliated Federation and/or club, I consent* to the receipt of electronic messages in accordance with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007, in relation to Football matters as set out in 3(b) above, that may interest me.

*If completing registration on behalf of a minor, the participant’s parent or legal guardian shall confirm all such matters set out in sections 3–7 on their behalf for the purposes of registration of membership on the National Registration System.
