Do you want to become an even better referee? Are you a player, coach or journalist writing about football? Do you want to check something in the laws while watching a match on TV or at a stadium?

Now you can in a handy way with the launch of the first ever official Laws of the Game app!

It doesn't matter if you're a professional or an amateur, an expert, a die-hard fan or just curious. If you referee, play, coach or watch football, you have to know the Laws of the Game.

The International Football Association Board (IFAB) is the body that determines the Laws of the Game of association football. To make these laws accessible to as many people as possible, the IFAB has launched its first app – which is free and available to everyone.

As the game is essentially the same on every football pitch – from the FIFA World Cup final to the local competition in the smallest village – the Laws of the Game must be the same in all competitions and friendly matches organised by the national football associations, confederations and FIFA.

If changes are made to the laws, they usually come into force on 1 June each year.

You can check out the full Laws of the Game 2019/20 on your mobile device, whether offline or online, read all recent changes (with explanations), compare this year’s new laws with previous versions, add your own notes and comments and create favourite chapters.
