Stage Set for Delivereasy Chatham Cup and Delivereasy Kate Sheppard Cup Second Round
The second round draws for the Delivereasy Chatham Cup and Delivereasy Kate Sheppard Cup has delivered match ups between some of New Zealand's premier and lower tier clubs.
The draw for Round 2 of New Zealand Football's men's and women's cup competitions was conducted this morning at the governing body's offices in Albany, Auckland.
Among the eye catching fixtures in the Delivereasy Chatham Cup, NRFL Southern Conference side Claudelands Rovers Sports Club (Inc) from Hamilton will host juggernauts, Auckland City.
Fellow NRFL Southern Conference club, Northern United, have been been paired with another top tier side, Auckland United.
From the Central-Capital region, Petone host minnows Greytown Football Club.
Among the Mainland and Southern teams, there's a derby between FC Nelson and Nelson Suburbs FC. Elsewhere, MCPL side Waimakariri United take on Southern League table toppers, Cashmere Technical while Dunedin City Royals have a match against Queens Park AFC.
Among the other top tier clubs that've been drawn together with match ups between Bay Olympic AFC and Birkenhead United, Wellington Olympic AFC vs Miramar Rangers, Waterside Karori vs Napier City Rovers, Christchurch United vs Nomads United AFC Inc and Northern AFC vs Wānaka FC.
In the Delivereasy Kate Sheppard Cup has also seen some headline pairings with West Coast Rangers drawn against defending champions Auckland United in Northern-WaiBop.
Among the Central-Capital sides, Wellington United will take on the Wellington Phoenix Reserves in a derby.
Cashmere Technical will visit smaller side Universities of Canterbury AFC among the intriguing Mainland while it's a similar story for Dunedin City Royals who take on lower tier Green Island AFC.
