When? Sunday 6 December, 11 am kick off
Where? Logan Park Turf, Dunedin
What happened last time?
The 2019 formbook belonged to Southern United, as they beat WaiBOP 1-0 in Cambridge and backed that up with a 3-0 win in Dunedin.
They say
Nico Girard, WaiBOP head coach
“The players know they are capable of gaining wins in this competition and it shouldn't come as a surprise! And that’s been my message all week; it shouldn't be a surprise... but also consistency is what is important. Consistency in performance and tactical execution. Winning games comes from getting that stuff right.
“Our play has improved over the first four games and with two games left there's a good opportunity to have a winning season. So that’s our target now.
“Southern will be a good test. Like us, they are improving every week and have some players capable of hurting us if we go in complacent.
“That's probably the thing we need to guard against most. We could find ourselves in big trouble if we don’t bring the right mindset to the game.
“Consistency is key.”
