Team Wellington 2 (Joao Moreira 40’; Hamish Watson 60’)

Paul Hobson, Waitakere United head coach

“It was a little bit of a bit of a dog fight out there, a little bit scrappy. But unlike last week when I thought we were a little bit harshly done to, we rode our luck and got a last minute equalizes. On another day we could have got beat, but that's just football.”

Scott Hales, Team Wellington head coach:

“The performance was okay and we adapted to the turf. It’s always a hard one to take when you can concede so late on. But you know, the first two weeks of the season, we've done that to teams. So you just have to suck it up, and get on with it.

WaiBOP 2 (Kelli Brown 45’; Emma Cawte 47’)

Northern Lights 1 (Talisha Green 51’)

Ben Bate, Northern Lights head coach:
“You've got to give a bit of credit to WaiBOP with the way that they set up. They identified where our beating heart was in midfield and just try to smother us as best as possible.

“We tried to find solutions on the field but the execution wasn't quite there in the first half, and we probably just dropped a little bit below our standards. But we made a few changes at halftime, changed slightly how we play. In the second half I've got to give credit to the players, they came out and gave a really good account of themselves, created enough opportunities to win multiple games, but credit to Rylee [Godbold] in goal, and the way that WaiBOP defended on the line with a couple of crucial interventions for them is the difference between us winning that game 4-2 or 5-2.”

Central Football 0

Capital Football 1 (Helena Errington, 11’)

Kate Bennett, Central Football assistant coach:

“The team were tactically excellent today and put in a huge effort. We created enough opportunities to get something out of the game, so it was disappointing not to come away with any points.”

Auckland Football 3 (Rina Hirano 36’, 43’; Britney Cunningham-Lee 51’)

Southern United 0

Jess Philpott, Auckland Football defender:

“We looked at last week and just thought that it wasn't up to standard and that this week we had to prove ourselves and that's what we did. [Winning next week] is absolutely crucial, it could depend if we make it to the final or not, and it's just a great way, another opportunity to prove ourselves. Fingers crossed we make the final.”

Canterbury United Dragons 2 (Tom Schwarz 45+1’; Garbhan Coughlan 55’)

Hamilton Wanderers 3 (Derek Tieku 34’; Tommy Semmy 52’; Jordan Lamb 79’)

Lee Padmore, Canterbury United Dragons head coach:
I'm pretty down after that one, because I think we had real moments of ascendancy and I feel we've given them three goals, but that's the result of the game. You can’t question this group of boys in terms of their work ethic and their battle, I think every one of them has bled for each other today. Every one of them fought for each other. It's just really important that they carry that on and we ensure that the next three games before Christmas is where we pick up some points.

Kale Herbert, Hamilton Wanderers head coach:

“We've managed to retain a lot of players from last year, which is really important, we're a close-knit group as well. There’s a number of boys that play through the winter season with me, and then we brought in boys that we had last year and we've added four or five of some real quality like Josh Signey, young, Owen Comber and Mark Jones. So now we're a close-knit group and I think that goes a long way.”

Auckland City FC 2 (Cameron Howieson 76’; Dylan Manickum 90+2’)

Hawke’s Bay United 1 (Jesse Randall 26’)
