What happened last time the two sides met?
The games between Canterbury United and Waitakere United were close affairs. The first encounter at Seddon Fields ended all square as an early Sean Liddicoat goal for the Cantabrians was cancelled out by Waitakere’s Alex Connor-McClean. In the return fixture at English Park, the home side opened the scoring through Jacob Richards early in the second half, only to be undone by a late flurry from Waitakere United’s skipper Sam Burfoot and Dane Schell.
