Rest in Peace Malcolm Cowie, former Chairman of NZSS Football National Executive Committee and one of the forces behind the growth of national schools tournaments, who passed away this weekend. 

A presence in New Zealand football for the last three decades, Cowie coached at St Kentigern College for 29 years, worked as selector and voluntary coach for Auckland Football and in 2015 co-established the West Ham Oceania Academy National Camp in New Zealand. 

In 2019 he was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to football.
