Football Ferns defender Meikayla Moore has signed with football giants Liverpool ahead of the new 2020/21 season.
The 24 year-old has spent the last two seasons at German side MSV Duisburg but was excited about the move to England.
“I’m really ecstatic to finally be here. The first few days have gone as well as anyone could have hoped.
“When I started talks with Vicky [Jepson] and Emma [Humphries], I’m at a time in my career where I needed a new adventure and a new opportunity and I’m thankful that they were willing to give that to me.
“I’m excited to get here and really work hard for this team, for the staff, the club and the badge. It’s a massive club so it’s a huge honour to be here.”
Meikayla will be joining fellow Kiwi and former Football Fern Emma Humphries who is the first team coach of the Liverpool Women’s side.
