Futsal fight evenly poised

Jimmy Banks celebrates finding the net for Auckland (Photosport)

The fight for supremacy in the Men’s Futsal SuperLeague is evenly poised with just one bout of action remaining.

Multiple sides will go into National Series Two in just under a fortnight with their title hopes still alive after an intriguing set of results in National Series One, held at the Bruce Pulman Arena in Auckland over the weekend.

The Northern Comets are currently in pole position but have just a one-point lead over both the Waikato Rapids and Capital while Southern United are three points further behind in fourth.

Auckland and Central are also very much in the play-off running and will be aiming to break into the top four when the second national series is staged at the ASB Sports Centre in Wellington on 22 – 23 November.

The semi-finals and final will follow the series at the same venue on 24 November.
