Vacancies | National Team Physiotherapists


New Zealand Football has a number of part-time contract roles for Physiotherapists to support our Women’s U-17 and U-20 National Teams.

The positions require you to provide physiotherapy and injury prevention services to all players within the relevant National Team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Injury prevention, treatment and rehab
  • Keeping the Head Coach up to date regarding injuries
  • Onward referral as required
  • Maintaining records and submitting injury reports to the NZF Medical Director

 

We’re looking for the following skills and experience:

  • A registered physiotherapy qualification
  • Experience working with athletes, preferably at national events
  • Good knowledge of current international trends and practices in physiotherapy

 

Confirmed dates for 2019 are:

  • Camp: 16-19 July
  • Tournament:  30 August – 12 September
  • Tournament:  30 September – 12 October

 

Dates for 2020 will depend upon the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup; however we expect to hold camps in both the April and July school holidays, with the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in India from 21 September – 4 October.

You don’t necessarily need to be available for all of these dates.

You’ll need high levels of energy and motivation, good communication skills and the ability to cope with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
