Vacancies | Team Doctors


New Zealand Football has a number of part time contract roles for Doctors to support our various National Teams.

The positions require you to provide high quality services for one or more of our National teams, reporting to the Head Coach and NZF Medical Director.  

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Attending appropriate training sessions and matches, and administering all primary medical care
  • Submitting injury reports to the NZF Medical Director
  • Touring with the team when applicable

We’re looking for the following skills and experience:

  • A registered medical practitioner with the New Zealand Medical Council
  • Preferably Fellowship of the Australian College of Sports Physicians or alternatively, a post-graduate diploma in sports medicine
  • Experience working with athletes, preferably at national events
  • Good knowledge of current international trends and practices in sports medicine, including WADA

You’ll need high levels of energy and motivation, good communication skills and the ability to cope with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
