New Zealand Football is seeking applications for an Assistant Accountant within our Finance team.

Assistant Accountant

• North Shore Location
• Permanent
• National Sporting Organisation

This role supports the Head of Finance and Business Services across the whole finance function including debtors/creditors, forecasting and cash flow, reconciliations, monthly and annual accounts including liaison with auditors, PAYE, GST and FBT returns, as well as preparation of payroll.

We’re looking for someone with the following:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance and/or Business
• A year’s experience in a finance function
• Knowledge of standard accounting practices
• Preferably some knowledge of MoneyWorks
• An understanding of budget monitoring, forecasting and cashflow
• Experience of working with a diverse range of stakeholders or customers
• Superior PC skills (Word/Excel)
• Good communication skills
