The Northern Comets have grasped the opportunity to steal a march on their Futsal National League rivals with both hands, winning all four of their matches in the Northern Travel Series to sit top of the table with a three-point lead.
Cross-town rivals Auckland also made the most of the series by recording four successive victories to climb to second place while Waikato failed to add to their tally and Bay of Plenty are still to get off the mark.
Capital, Southern United, Canterbury United and Central will all look to make up ground on the leaders when they return to action for the Southern Travel Series in Christchurch on November 10 to 11.
