Vacancy - Marketing and Events Manager


An exciting opening for a Marketing and Events Manager to cover a 12 month maternity contract has opened with New Zealand’s largest participation sport – football.

Working as part of the wider Commercial team and reporting to the Commercial Director you will be tasked to drive the marketing strategy, deliver world-class events and implement key sponsorship activations.

Key deliverables will include:

  • Implementation of Sales Force and Marketing Cloud as well as using Social Studio
  • This includes the management of EDMs and using social studio (Facebook / Twitter / Instagram) to maximise fan engagement.
  • Creating and delivering the 2019 Marketing Plan for the business
  • Creating and delivering both football department (elite teams) and operations (Community) campaign plans
  • Preparing marketing collateral which supports the high performance, community and competitions within the game
  • Preparing design briefs for our internal Graphic Designer and other external agencies
  • Assisting the NZF Communications team with digital and social media delivery
  • Delivery of sponsor benefits in conjunction with the Commercial Director
  • Assisting with sponsor presentations where required
  • Assisting with sponsor meetings, reports and reviews as required.
  • Manging events in conjunction with NZF Competitions Department and selected major event delivery partners
  • Maintaining budgets and  financial reporting

Key requirements include:

  • Sales Force and Marketing cloud experience
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a marketing role
  • Formal degree in marketing and/or communications (desirable)
  • Proven budget and project management experience
  • Strong organisational skills and a can do attitude
  • Ability to communicate with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Must be able to start on 20 August, 2018
