Fixtures Released for the Dettol National League 2026

With just under a month to go until the new season, New Zealand Football have released the fixtures for the men’s Dettol National League 2026, Aotearoa New Zealand’s top-tier domestic football competition.

 

The Dettol National League sees 32 teams compete across the Dettol Northern League, Dettol Central League, and Dettol Southern League, to be one of the 11 sides to qualify for the Dettol National League Championship and battle to be crowned the best amateur side in the country.

 

The 2025 edition saw Auckland City FC claim the title after a 7–6 penalty shootout win over Wellington Olympic following a 2–2 draw at Newtown Park in the capital.

 

The Dettol Northern League 2026, which will start on 21 March, will consist of Auckland City FC, Auckland FC Reserves, Auckland United, Bay Olympic, Birkenhead United, Eastern Suburbs, East Coast Bays, Fencibles United, promoted sides Manukau United and Melville United, Tauranga City, and 2025 Northern League winners Western Springs.

 

The Dettol Central League 2026, getting underway on 28 March, brings together promoted side FC Western, Island Bay United, Miramar Rangers, Napier City Rovers, Petone FC, 2025 Central League winners Wellington Olympic, Wellington Phoenix Reserves, Upper Hutt City Football, Waterside Karori, and Western Suburbs.

 

The Dettol Southern League 2026, also kicking off on 21 March, features Cashmere Technical, Christchurch United, 2025 Southern League winners Coastal Spirit, Dunedin City Royals, Ferrymead Bays, Nelson Suburbs, Nomads United, promoted side Northern AFC, Wanaka FC, and Selwyn United, who return to the competition after Universities of Canterbury had to withdraw.


The 2026 edition will be the last National League season in its current format, with a new double-round, fully national competition set to get underway in 2027.

 

Dettol National League games are available to watch live and free on FIFA+, with over 250 fixtures set to be broadcast this season.
