The Ford Futsal Ferns' group for the inaugural FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup has been confirmed

Aotearoa New Zealand has been drawn in Group C alongside Portugal (FIFA Rank 3), Japan (FIFA Rank 5), and Tanzania (FIFA Rank 82).

Ford Futsal Ferns captain Hannah Kraakman is looking forward to the challenge that Group C will bring, with matches against two of the best teams in the world locked in for New Zealand's debut appearance at the pinnacle tournament.

“Getting drawn into Group C with Portugal, Japan, and Tanzania is an exciting chance to test ourselves against some of the best, but also to put our best foot forward and show what we can do on the world stage. Every game will have its own challenges, but I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve.”
