Nau mai ki te Wiki o te Reo Māori! | Welcome to Māori Language Week!

Every year since 1975, New Zealand has celebrated Te Wiki o te Reo Māori. This year marks its 50th anniversary.

Join us in celebrating te Wiki from 14-20 September and honour the past, celebrate Aotearoa’s language and prepare for our future. Together.

During Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, we will share a different football theme in te Reo each day on our social channels, encouraging everyone to learn, try, and speak te Reo together.

 

The themes for the week are:

1. Sunday: Get behind your team
2. Monday: Parts of the game
3. Tuesday: Positions
4. Wednesday: Celebrations
5. Thursday: Objects
6. Friday: Things to Say at a Game
7. Saturday: Actions

Join us and get behind te Wiki o te Reo Māori to learn some new football words and phrases.
