This match gives Kiwi fans a rare chance to be part of the phenomenon, right here in Aotearoa.
2. A Fresh Start for the Phoenix
After a tough 2024/25 A-League Men season, this fixture marks the beginning of a new campaign for Wellington Phoenix. It’s the first chance to see how the side is shaping up for the year ahead, and it's happening in front of what’s expected to be a big home crowd.
3. A Glimpse at Libby Cacace’s Future
Match day began with major transfer news: All Whites vice-captain Liberato Cacace has signed with Wrexham for a club-record fee. A fan favourite at the Nix, Cacace will be a key figure in Wrexham’s Championship push, and this match offers a preview of the side he’s about to join.
4. Rising Kiwi Talent on Show
The Phoenix squad has a strong youth presence, with exciting young players like Luke Brooke-Smith and Gabriel Sloane-Rodrigues expected to feature in key roles. It’s a great chance to see emerging New Zealand talent take on Championship-level opposition.
