Former New Zealand Football Honorary President Nicholas Davidson has passed away at age 76.

Davidson, a former High Court judge and Pike River lawyer, held the role with New Zealand Football for over 10 years until 2015. 

A leading administrator, Davidson also held roles with New Zealand Rugby Union and New Zealand Cricket in a distinguished career in and out of sport. 

Davidson passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday 8th March 2025.
