The Rainbow Games 2024 is coming to Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland this April with 5-a-side football one of the 12 sports included at the event. 

Taking place from 4 – 8 April, the Rainbow Games is a multisport event that brings together LGBTQI+ communities and allies from the region in a celebration of sportsmanship, acceptance and equality.

For football, the Games will take place at The Trusts Arena on 6 and 7 April and be made up of the following divisions:

Open Team (5-a-side) – Competitive or Social grade
Female-identifying Team (5-a-side) – Competitive or Social grade

Open refers to all genders and identities. Female-identifying refers to cisgender women, transgender women and non-binary AFAB. 
 

The games is an amazing opportunity to celebrate Aotearoa’s diverse rainbow communities and the power of sport to bring people together.
