OFC and NZF announce inaugural Goalkeeper B Licence for 2024

OFC and NZF are pleased to announce that the inaugural Goalkeeper B Licence will be run this year.

“Having successfully run the OFC/NZF GK C licence for a number of years, the Oceania Goalkeeping community are ready for the next step on the advanced coaching pathway,” says Aaron McFarland, NZF Coach Development Manager, “the landscape for coaching in football is evolving and the demands being placed on our GK coaches to be at the cutting edge of their craft is changing with it.”

“We look forward to bringing our region’s best talent together in a learning environment with the ambition of developing our current and future Goalkeepers,” McFarland added.

The GK B licence is designed to help the modern GK coach meet these demands and develop both their knowledge and skill.

Through a modular approach, it covers themes from skill acquisition to player ‘management’ and incorporates practical and theory components as well as distance learning tasks to bring alive the course learnings.

New Zealand Football invites Goalkeeper coaches with a current OFC/NZF GK C licence who wish to upskill through our formal pathway to apply through the following link.
