World Cup equipment redistribution programme open for expressions of interest

With just 10 days until the Ford Football Ferns’ World Cup opener, expressions of interest are now being sought for New Zealand Football’s World Cup equipment redistribution scheme.

Clubs will have the opportunity to get a share of around $400,000 worth of Field of Play Equipment and Training Equipment used during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

By redistributing equipment used in the World Cup to community clubs around the country, the programme will ensure that the tournament’s legacy will benefit communities beyond the host cities.

A female pathway and commitment to growing the female game, female representation on club boards or committees, and a plan to retain and increase female participation are all areas that will be considered during the redistribution process to ensure the legacy of the FIFA Women’s World Cup is used to recognise clubs with a gender equity focus.

Clubs are invited to complete the Expression of Interest form found here by Thursday 20 July to be considered for a share of the equipment.
