New Zealand Football welcomes the news that the W-League will be expanding and Wellington Phoenix will potentially be involved no later than 2023. 

Establishing a professional side is a key pathway in the development of women’s football across Aotearoa and the Pacific. 

We look forward to hopefully seeing a second team in black and yellow on the pitch soon.
