The quarter-finals of the Delivereasy Chatham Cup take place this weekend and all four matches will be streamed live and free on FIFA+.

With teams now crossing federation lines, the draw has set up some exciting national matchups across the country.

The first game kicks off on Saturday at 2:00pm, with Western Suburbs hosting Wellington Olympic at Endeavour Park. The home side are in great form: unbeaten in their last nine games across the Dettol Central League and Delivereasy Chatham Cup and they are the second-highest scorers in their region with 44 goals.

Olympic, last year’s champions, arrive as firm favourites to go back-to-back. They currently lead the Dettol Central League by six points and have scored 47 goals so far, the most in the competition.

The two sides met at the same venue just a couple of weeks ago, drawing 2–2, so it promises to be one of the standout clashes of the round.

Later that day, Christchurch United will welcome Auckland United to United Sports Centre for a 3:00pm kick-off. Christchurch are unbeaten at home this year and sit top of the Dettol Southern League with 29 points in 12 matches.

Auckland United, on the other hand, are coming off a big win over Tauranga City, a direct rival for a Championship spot. That result pushed them into the top four, and they currently sit third, though Auckland City FC still have two games in hand. With 36 goals scored, they’re also the second-most prolific side in their league.

The two clubs have met twice in the Dettol National League in recent years, with both matches ending in draws: 1-1 in 2022 and 2-2 in 2023.

Over in Auckland, Fencibles United will host Eastern Suburbs at Riverhills Park on Saturday at 6:00pm. Fencibles, newly promoted to the Dettol Northern League this year, are fighting to avoid relegation and currently sit 11th. While they only won three matches in the Dettol Northern League, they’ve found form in the Cup, knocking out current league leaders Western Springs at home.

Eastern Suburbs have been solid this season, but back-to-back winless results playing at home have dropped them to fourth in the Dettol Northern League. They’re still in a Championship spot but only five points ahead of Auckland City FC, who have two games in hand.

In the two league meetings between Eastern Suburbs and Fencibles United this year, the"Lyliwhites" won both by 3-1.

The final quarter-final will see Nelson Suburbs take on Birkenhead United on Sunday at 11:45am at Saxton Fields. Nelson may not be the favourites, sitting sixth in the Dettol Southern League, but they’ve got every reason to believe as they’re unbeaten at home in eight matches across league and cup this year.

Birkenhead United, last season’s National League finalists, are still one of the favourites to lift the trophy. They’re second in the Dettol Northern League and the competition’s top scorers.

These two sides last met in the 2018 Chatham Cup semi-finals, when Birkenhead United claimed a 2-0 away win.

It’s all set to be a cracking weekend of knockout football and you can watch every minute live and free on FIFA+.
