NZF Charity Cup returns to kick off the 2024 domestic football season

The New Zealand Football Charity Cup will return for the first time since 2020 next month, kicking off the new domestic football season at Martin Luckie Park in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington.

The clash on Sunday 3 March 2024 (KO 1pm) will see 2023 National League Championship winners Wellington Olympic host 2023 Chatham Cup holders Christchurch United.

Tickets for the game will be free with an optional charity donation at the gate.

As the home side, Wellington Olympic have selected Heart Kids New Zealand as their nominated charity who will receive the proceeds from the fixture.

2024 will be the first time the cup has been contested since the introduction of the new National League competition format in 2021 which created an open pathway for clubs sides to compete at regional, national and international level.
