Men's National League regional winners and Championship qualifiers confirmed


The winners of the Northern, Central and Southern League have now all been confirmed.

Auckland City FC have claimed the Northern League after an unbeaten season, securing the title with a 6-1 defeat of bottom side Manukau United. 

Wellington Olympic already claimed the Central League and finish 9 points higher than Wellington Phoenix in second. Olympic ended their campaign beating Western Suburbs 8-3, ending Wests chance of qualifying for the Championship on the final day. 

Christchurch United have already won the Southern League and could yet claim another title next weekend when they play Melville United in the Chatham Cup final. Their season comes to an end tomorrow when then face rivals Cashmere Technical with the chance to complete an unbeaten season on the line. 

Along with Auckland City FC, Eastern Suburbs, Auckland United and Manurewa AFC qualify for the National League Championship from the Northern League. 

In the Central League, Wellington Olympic are joined by Wellington Phoenix, Napier City Rovers and Petone FC.

Christchurch United are joined by Cashmere Technical as the qualifiers from the Southern League. 

The draw for the men’s National League Championship will be released next week.
