The FIFA Women’s World Cup, starting in just 51 days’ time, will be the biggest ever women’s sporting event in New Zealand. 

To build up to the tournament, Sky Sport are telling the stories of eight Ford Football Ferns in new series Following The Ferns set to take viewers behind the scenes on what it takes to be one of the top footballers in Aotearoa. 

The show opens the door on the day-to-day experience of players competing around the world, from their home life inside their club. 

The first episode, starting tonight at 7:30pm on Sky Sport 1, showcases CJ Bott at Leicester City in the English Women’s Super League, one of the most competitive leagues in the world. 

Future episodes travel from college life in the US to Scotland’s historic sides Rangers and Celtic.
