U-20 accept late invite to warm up tournament in Indonesia


The U-20’s have accepted a late invitation to join a four team tournament in Indonesia as a warm up for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Darren Bazeley’s side will play Guatamala (17 February), Indonesia (19 February) and Fiji (21 February). 

Due to major travel issues caused by the weather conditions, players were only able to arrive yesterday with nine players still go join the squad.

Bazeley said:“It’s a great opportunity to play international games at the U-20 World Cup host, something that we couldn’t turn down even at this late a notice. 

“The games also provide an opportunity for us to have a look at some different players in this environment than we had for the qualifiers.”
