Kate Sheppard Cup and Chatham Cup semi-final and finals dates, broadcast information confirmed

New Zealand Football can now confirm the dates for the postponed Football Foundation Kate Sheppard Cup semi-final and final, as well as the venue for the Chatham Cup final.

Hamilton Wanderers, who beat Coastal Spirit 3-1 on Saturday to qualify for their first ever Kate Sheppard Cup final, will discover their opponents on Saturday 5 March when the rescheduled semi-final between Wellington United and holders Eastern Suburbs will take place. The Football Foundation Kate Sheppard Cup final will be played on Sunday 13 March, with the venue to be confirmed following the result of the second semi-final.

The Chatham Cup final will take place on Sunday 6 March at Jerry Collins Stadium, with four-time winners Miramar Rangers taking on two-time holders Cashmere Technical.

“We know our clubs, players and staff have invested a lot of time, energy and passion into getting ready to compete in these rescheduled competitions,” says New Zealand Football GM, Football, Daniel Farrow.

“We’re continuing to work with the clubs to find solutions to ensure these competitions can be completed. Splitting the finals enables us to get our competitions finished as soon and as safely as possible.”

New Zealand Football can also confirm that the Chatham Cup and Kate Sheppard Cup finals will be broadcast live and free on Sky Sport Next.

“Given the games have to be played behind closed doors, we’re delighted that football fans around Aotearoa New Zealand will be able to watch both finals on consecutive weekends from anywhere in the country free of charge,” says Farrow.
