Chatham Cup result overturned due to ineligible player

New Zealand Football can confirm that due to Northern Rovers fielding an ineligible player in their Chatham Cup round two fixture on Saturday 5th June 2021 against West Hamilton United, the team’s 4-0 win will be changed to a 3-0 defeat.

Whilst New Zealand Football understand this was a
genuine error by the team, NZF do not have any discretion when it comes to decisions on eligibility, based on previous precedent set and advice from the NZF Disciplinary Committee.

As a result of the decision, West Hamilton United will progress to the third round of the Chatham Cup.
