Team Wellington and Hamilton Wanderers encounters have been tightly contested this season, with their Matchweek 7 encounter at Porritt Stadium resulting in a 1-1 draw thanks to goals from Mario Barcia (on his 100th appearance for Team Wellington) and Derek Tieku. Their Matchweek 14 game, at David Farrington Park, finished as a 3-2 win to Team Wellington as Sam Mason-Smith scored a hattrick, while Joshua Clarkin and Derek Tieku got on the scoresheet for the Hamiltonians.
