Becoming a Coach Developer

Our Coach Developer pathway is designed to support Coach Developers at every stage of their journey.

It begins with the regionally delivered Community Coach Developer Course — a two-day, in-person programme that introduces the essential skills required to become a coach developer. Completion of this course qualifies participants to deliver all Community Coaching Courses on behalf of New Zealand Football and its federations.

Aspiring to support coaches at an advanced level? The next step is the Advanced Coach Developer Level 1 Course — a five-day, face-to-face course with additional online learning. This course prepares Coach Developers to assist in the delivery of advanced coaching programmes.

For our most experienced Coach Developers, the Coach Developer Level 2 Course is available by application. Level 2 Coach Developers not only lead advanced courses but also train and mentor Level 1 Coach Developers along their own development pathway.​​​​​​​
