ABOUT

The National League Championship is the final phase of Aotearoa's premier domestic football competition.

The men's and women's competitions kick off from September to November with the champions crowned in a double header Grand Final at the end of November.

In the men's competition, 10 teams from the National League Regional Phase qualify for the Championship. In the women's competition, four clubs qualify from the NRFL, three federation sides compete in partnership with club sides, (one Central Football, two Capital Football), and two federation sides represent the South Island in Canterbury United Pride and Southern United.

The men's Regional Phase runs from March to August in which clubs around the country play in regional leagues to qualify for the men's National League Championship. For more on the National League Regional Phase see here.
