VIDEO | Stand Up with White Ribbon

This year White Ribbon are asking all New Zealanders and especially men to Stand Up. All it takes for bad things to happen, is for good men to do nothing.

Unfortunately family harm is still seen as someone else’s problem, and too often as an anger issue rather than attributed to the socialisation of our young men.

That is why we have linked The Pledge with eight actions, that support respectful relationships and encourage men to be active, rather than remain on the side-lines.

When the public take The Pledge, they are asked to choose one action. They then receive information and a video explaining how to make that action real within their lives.

As the leaders, we need your support to promote respectful relationships and activate all members of our community, so we are all involved in promoting attitudes and behaviour that are non-violent and respectful.

NZ Football came on board with White Ribbon in 2011 and the cause is endorsed by the AllWhites and Football Ferns. Get behind White Ribbon Day on Sunday.

Former All White Harry Ngata is a White Ribbon Ambassador the CEO of the NZPFA and has played a leading role in facilitating the relationship between White Ribbon and NZ Football.
