ISPS Handa Chatham Cup Quarter-Final Results

Nelson Suburbs have joined Cashmere Technical, Western Suburbs and Birkenhead United in the semi-finals of the ISPS Handa Chatham Cup.

The Steve Bignall-coached side defeated 2008 champions East Coast Bays 1-0 today at Saxton Field in Nelson thanks to a Alex Ridsdale strike in the 43rd minute.

It is the first time since 2008 that two South Island teams have made the semi-finals of the ISPS Handa Chatham Cup.

Cashmere Technical and Western Suburbs have both won the Chatham Cup twice, Birkenhead United once in 2016 and Nelson Suburbs has never won the Chatham Cup.  

The draw for the ISPS Handa Chatham Cup semi-finals will be conducted by New Zealand Football on Tuesday 7 August at 12pm.
