Further updates to competition schedule


Following confirmation that Auckland will be at Alert Level 3 until it is reviewed on Monday 4 October, as well as Alert Level 2 continuing across the rest of the country, New Zealand Football can now confirm further changes made to the men’s and women’s National League competitions, Football Foundation Kate Sheppard Cup and Chatham Cup schedules. 

The schedule is based on Auckland returning to Alert Level 2 or lower during the week of 4 October.  


Women’s National League and Football Foundation Kate Sheppard Cup

 

  • The women’s National League will be reduced to a single round robin with a Grand Final.
     
  • The league will now start the weekend of 23-24 October with the Grand Final scheduled for the weekend of 11-12 December.
     
  • The Football Foundation Kate Sheppard Cup Semi-Finals will be played the weekend of 16-17 October with the Final provisionally scheduled for the weekend of 30-31 October. 

 

Men’s National League and Chatham Cup
 

  • The men’s National League championship phase will begin on the weekend of 16-17 October with the Grand Final scheduled for the weekend of 18-19 December.
     
  • The Central and Southern League have resumed. The Northern League has been terminated as previously confirmed due to the ongoing Alert Level in Auckland. 
     
  • The Cashmere Technical v Western Suburbs Chatham Cup Semi-Final will be played the weekend of 2-3 October. The Miramar Rangers v North Shore United Chatham Cup Semi-Final will be played the weekend of 16-17 October. The Final is provisionally scheduled for the weekend of 30-31 October.
