All Stars games cancelled due to lockdown

The recently announced All Stars games, due to be held on 17 March to celebrate the new National League competition, have had to be cancelled due to the change in COVID-19 Alert Levels.

The games were set to see the best women’s league players take on
an NZF Reps team (Women’s U17, U20 and Future Ferns Domestic Programme) followed by the star players from the current ISPS Handa Men’s Premiership season against a Men’s U20 select side.

The move to Alert Level 3 in the Auckland region has seen the ISPS Handa Men’s Premiership season extended with the Final now set to be played a week later than scheduled, on 21 March. Unfortunately, this delay means the All Stars games are no longer possible in the available window.
