Every year, over 6000 coaches volunteeer their time to help kiwi kids “Kick start” their football dreams. They spend their weekends coaching local teams and making sure their children get active, develop their football skills, and most importantly, have fun.
New Zealand Football and Junior Football partner, McDonald’s have teamed up once again to find the 2017 McDonald’s Junior Coach of the Year. Over a six week campaign, New Zealand will be asking the football community to nominate their coach of the year for 2017!
Nominations are encouraged for positive behaviour both on and off the pitch, including supporting players positively from the touch line, introducing new players to the game and helping out in their local community.
Eligible entrants must be regularly coaching children aged between 4 and 12 years old. Nominations close on July 9.
Regional Shortlist Winners (3 from each Federation)

McDonald’s Junior Football Regional Coach of the Year (1 per Federation)
T-shirt, shorts, socks, rain jacket, weather writer board/tactics board, trophy
McDonald’s Junior Football National Coach of the Year (1 Winner)
