AUCKLAND - New Zealand Football is looking for two outstanding candidates to lead the player and coach development frameworks outlined in the award winning Whole of Football Plan.

Following a restructure and redeployment of responsibilities relating to both player and coach development, the successful candidates will lead the two pathways (Grassroots and Talent) whilst ensure there is a seamless link and alignment between the two.

The Grassroots Development Manager will assume overall responsibility for the roll out and alignment of participation football, initially focusing on juniors, yet with the ability and experience to develop youth and senior Frameworks as we progress through stage two and three of the Whole of Football Plan. A major focus will be increasing the overall standards and quality of experience offered to our players and therefore coach development in these environments will be a large focus of the role. Additional to this, the Grassroots Development Manager will continue to develop and implement recreational programmes to provide our players with more opportunities to participate and develop in our sport.

The Talent Development Manager will assume the overall responsibility for the roll out and alignment of our Talent Development Pathway, specifically focusing in the junior and youth area to develop both players and coaches for the future.

A major focus will be on ensuring a progressive development of a player and coach from Skill Centres, Federation Talent Centres, National Talent Centres all the way through to NZF Excel Centres in the future. 

Both roles will require an inspiring, motivated and confident leader who is an accomplished communicator and therefore can work closely with Federations to implement the above strategies. You will have a comprehensive background in the area of football development, specifically in both player and coach development and hold appropriate qualifications and experiences technically, educationally and in management and leadership.

The roles will involve travel throughout New Zealand to support the implementation of national strategies at a regional level. 

The positions will report to the Head of Football Development and are based in Auckland: details of remuneration and other conditions will be provided at interview stage.
