Biography
Sarah McLaughlin has played at three age-group Women’s World Cups, and Germany 2011 was her first senior FIFA event. Her goal against England at the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup had New Zealand on course for qualification to the quarterfinals until an injury time equaliser from the English eliminated the Junior Football Ferns.
Hamilton born and raised McLaughlin is one of the few NZ based Football Ferns to still live outside Auckland, commuting regularly from the Waikato for trainings and matches.
