Biography

Born in Illinois, Jenny Bindon moved to New Zealand with now-husband Grant Bindon who she met at Lewis University where they were both athletes. Mother of one, Bindon lists among her most memorable moments a shout of go Mommy! from son Tyler as she was running out of the tunnel for a match against Japan at the Beijing Olympics a match New Zealand drew 2-2 to gain the first ever Olympic football result for a New Zealand team.

One of a select group of Football Ferns to play 50 times or more A internationals, Bindon is also the first and only goalkeeper (male or female) to achieve that mark. In recent seasons, Bindon has been playing for a mens team north of Auckland.
